We're delighted to be holding this year's tree planting retreat in Buddhafield's own woodlands, at Bowerwood on the slopes of the Blackdown hills. This long weekend retreat will weave together Buddhist practice, nature connection, and regeneration of the landscape, to enrich both ourselves and the world around us.
The retreat will be led by Maitridevi who loves to weave myth and nature into the Dharma. Her interests are in working with the body, the heart, and the imagination in playful and experimental ways.
What to expect
The programme will include meditation, simple rituals and periods of silence. If you’ve not been on a Buddhist retreat before and would like to know more about what to expect, please get in touch.
As a working retreat, you’ll need a modest level of physical fitness to take part in this event. All participants are encouraged to find a pace of work that suits them. Again if you have any questions about this, do contact us.
The event will start with dinner at 6.30 pm on Thursday and finish at about 3pm on Sunday. The cost includes accommodation, meals, and refreshments.
We'd like this retreat to be accessible to as many people as possible, so if you are unable to afford the concession rate, please contact us
