Buddhafield in the Web: an online celebration

This event is no longer open for bookings

The golden threads we hold in our hearts that lead us to joy, compassion and healing are always available. Gathering together to celebrate this in 2020 does not look the way that it has in other times. Join us for a 5-day online fundraising event to celebrate the possibilities of connection.

What’s happening?

We’re offering a rich programme of meditations, talks, yoga, qi gong, dance, discussions, study, workshops, music, rituals, storytelling, poetry, DJs, audio-visuals, spoken word and many of the held community and recovery spaces that we offer at our events. Expect to see some of your Buddhafield favourites, plenty of dharma input and some beautifully curated online ritual experiences. View the full programme here

We’ll be exploring the theme of ‘Holding to Nothing Whatever’ as well as bringing in relevant questions about current issues. How do we move forward from all our recent unique experiences? How do we become more conscious of our whole community? Of our place in the natural world?

There will be lots of ways to join us including:

  • Facebook live events you can watch in real-time or at your leisure
  • Zoom events where you’ll have an opportunity to participate
  • plenty of shared content you can take part even if you want to keep the watch time to a minimum

You’ll find it easier to fully participate if you have a Facebook and a Zoom account. However, we’ll also be posting videos on YouTube after our events for anyone who wants an alternative.

We’ll be hosting some spaces within the event including a BIPOC/BAME space that was due to be a new offering in 2020. For more information on the events we are offering in this space and joining the Triratna BIPOC/BAME community, please click here.

How will it work?

Once you book your ticket, we’ll send you a confirmation email. This will contain a link to an event page on Facebook where you’ll get further updates in the lead-up. You can also find that here.

Three days before the start of the event (12th July), you’ll get a further details email from us. This will contain:

  • a link to the programme
  • a link to the Facebook event group and YouTube channel. You will need to join well before the first thing you want to attend starts so that you can be sure you have access by the time it starts
  • All other events will either be on FB live or on Zoom (first come, first served until full). Open events will be streamed on FB as well so you will be able to see them whatever happens. Links will be shared daily by email and on FB during the event.

You’ll be able to watch events live or catch up with them later over FB or YouTube. There will also be lots of other content shared on the event page. We hope this will help people who have limited internet access to participate even if they can’t do it live.

If you do not receive an email by 12th July and you have checked your spam and other folders, please get in touch ASAP so we can sort things out. If you book after 12th July, you will receive your email at the end of the day that you book on.

What’s the cost?

This primary goal of this event is to make connections and share experiences with you. It is also a fundraising event for Buddhafield. Without our events this summer, we are investing in other ways to raise money to keep going and to bring to life new projects that will support our goals in the future. These are all based around Buddhist teachings, land-based projects, ethical enterprise, and community building.

Our standard ticket price is £35. We have two other tiers of £50 & £100 - if you are able to make an extra donation to Buddhafield then please do purchase at these levels.

Whichever tier you choose, you’ll get full access to all 5 days of content along with our love and gratitude.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
