Soulful Singing with Mahasukha — 10th year! African, sacred, uplifting and fun, group harmony singing for all with live djembe drumming and the unique and inspiring Mahasukha touch. A joyful, tribal and meditative experience, guaranteed to put a smile on your face, uplift your soul and get you dancing! Beautiful harmonies, beautifully simple, simply magic!
The Beauty of Mantra with Mahasukha. Two evenings of opening the heart and evoking the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas through the Beauty of Mantra. Before a radiant shrine we'll chant a mantra with beautiful, uplifting harmonies and make offerings. A meditative and devotional experience, imbued with myth, magic and mystery. Taking Soulful Singing into a ritual dimension. Mahasukha has two albums available on the Bandcamp website.
Joyful Harmony Singing Workshops with Susie Ro Prater and Nick Prater. Easy to learn beautiful and vibrant songs with a deeply nourishing quality- everything from African to Gospel. Susie is a spirited and sensitive workshop leader with a uniquely warm and easy teaching style, bringing both ‘singers’ and ‘non-singers’ together for the sheer joy of singing in harmony. The songs she shares have the ability to unlock your voice and open your heart. No singing experience needed, just a willingness to open up and sing out!
Flashmob Singing Workshops with Jules Olsen. Come and learn some fantastic fun, uplifting songs in harmony, then perform them flashmob style to the unsuspecting public. Open to all - no music to read, no experience necessary, just bring your voice and give it a go! Jules is an experienced leader who runs the popular Moveable Choir in Bristol. Jules is also a singing teacher, and workshop leader.
Ancient Powers of The Healing Voice workshop led by Aglaia mika. Release the healing powers within yourself through the subtle vibrations of your voice. As ancient cultures have proven, we are all creative, musical beings, and experience great joy in sounding together. Creating space in our body and mind, we can release the blockages that can prevent us from singing freely. Sought-out singer and workshop facilitator Aglaia has been studying healing cultures, as well as practising as a music therapist and performing concerts internationally. Aglaia has a BA in Philosophy and literature and MA’s in Comparative world religions and mysticism and Music therapy. Al-Quds College of Music.
Learn to Play a Live 5 Rhythms Wave with Ged Camille, Gordon sharp, Samantha Jones & Bekki French who are a collective of teachers & practitioners of dance, meditation and music making. The team will offer a series of workshops for people with any amount of experience of 5 rhythms and/or playing a musical instrument. They will explore playing live music for people to dance a 5 rhythms wave to. Bring an instrument if you have one. In the last session they will play a “live wave” — dancers are invited.
