On this page you can find aout about what the Buddhafield Festival Toilet Wizards do, what we need you to be able to commit to and how to volunteer.

...so much more than the sum of its parts.

There is one vital job that touches everyone who comes to the Buddhafield Festival — yes, it’s cleaning our glorious compost loos! A great way to sense the interconnectedness of all beings — and gain huge merit and appreciation.

Dates and Hours

We are looking for 10 Toilet Wizards (fancy dress should be considered essential), to arrive Monday 15 July and work through to the end of the Festival (4pm—ish, Monday 22 July 2013).

You’ll get a free ticket for one 5 hour shift per day, plus team meetings. The daily shifts are:

  • 6am — 11am
  • 11am — 4pm
  • 4pm — 9pm

You will probably be on a different shift each day.

Working in a small team as part of the Site Crew you’ll be topping up the sawdust and loo roll, wiping down, keeping an eye on the sink areas and generally keeping things lovely for the next visitor.

A Word about Alcohol and Drugs

Please have a think about our view on drink and drugs.

We don’t wish to judge people’s views on this — and hope it won’t put you off applying! And if this would be a new way of experiencing a festival for you then why not give it a try?! However please bear in mind that if you choose to work with us, then we’d like this policy to be respected.
