Buddhafield Tree Planting Retreat
Dates ()
SuitabilityAdults
VenueHigh Heathercombe retreat centre, near Moretonhampstead, Devon
Led byRatnadeva
Description

Join us for a weekend of rooting our spiritual practice in the earth. We will do this both literally, by digging holes in the wintry soil and planting trees, and metaphorically by attempting to deepen our relationship with the larger community of life in which we and trees are embedded. We will explore the use of imaginative empathy to deepen and broaden this relationship. Our work and reflections will be set in the context of the Buddhist path towards universal benevolence and will be supported by communal meditation and ritual.
The planting will take place at Longdown on the fringe of the Dartmoor national park, and is kindly being facilitated by the charity Moor Trees.
The weekend will start at 6.30pm with dinner on the Friday and finish at the planting site at about 4pm on Sunday.

Donation Guidelines

The cost is £65 for the weekend including accommodation, meals and refreshments, and a donation to Moor Trees.
To book please email Mark (markalexwells@gmail.com) £20 deposit is payable to reserve your place.

The Buddhafield Kit Retreat
Dates ()
SuitabilityThe hardy and inspired
VenueFrog Mill near Chagford, Devon
Led bySatyajit and Team
Description

Throughout the winter we will have been working on our kit and now we are asking the broader community for help. We are holding a week of work at Frog Mill, our land located within the beautiful Dartmoor National Park. We invite you to come and give whatever of your time you can to working in community on the land, drinking tea round a fire, meditating and opening up the thatch. You can come for the whole week, or just a few days, or just make a day trip. All are welcome.

The plan for the week is to work on canvas, electrics, plumbing, vehicles and more. There are heavier tasks and lighter tasks, just get in touch if you have any questions about the work and how suitable it might be for you.

If you're staying over please bring camping gear. We will provide food, tea and warmth, a shrine space and dharma input. The Buddhafield season can't go ahead without your help. Please don't underestimate what you give to us by volunteering.

Through working together in Sangha, with the right intention and the right vision we can open up to the wonders of existence.

Donation Guidelines

You will be fed and watered on this event, but donations are always welcome. For further information about booking please contact us.
